Spirax Sarco Wins IChemE Energy Award

Spirax Sarco
has beaten off international competition to win the IChemE Innovation and
Excellence Award in Energy for 2009. The award recognizes the best project or
process to demonstrate innovation in renewable energy, alternative energy
sources, or efficient energy use.
They won the
award for their Flash Recovery Energy Management Equipment (FREME) engineered
system. It is proven to achieve energy savings of up to 26 percent and can be
used across the majority of industries, including Brewing & Distilling,
Food & Beverage, Hospitals & Healthcare, Oil & Petrochemical and
