what is vma?

The Valve Manufacturers Association of America is a trade association that represents the interests of nearly 100 North American manufacturers of valves, actuators and controls. Collectively, members account for approximately 80% of the total industrial valve shipments out of U.S. and Canadian facilities.

The North American valve industry supplies approximately 35% of worldwide valve demand, and VMA member companies employ 20,000 men and women directly in supporting jobs. VMA is the only organization exclusively serving U.S. and Canadian manufacturers of industrial valves, actuators and controls. Founded in 1938, VMA is headquartered in Washington, DC.

 

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN MEMBERSHIP?

If you make valves, actuators or controls, supply products to valve, actuator and control manufacturers, or serve as a distributor/channel partner for a VMA member, and you have substantial manufacturing activity in the United States or Canada, you may be eligible for membership in the Valve Manufacturers Association.

To learn about the benefits of membership and whether your company qualifies to join this elite group of North American companies, visit the Benefits and Qualifications sections. You can also determine the dues your company would pay. After determining your eligibility and dues amount, then you're ready to submit to complete the membership application. Just choose the appropriate application form: Valve Manufacturers, Associate (Suppliers to Valve Manufacturers), or Distributor/Channel Partner.
